It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Carey Texada D. D. S. of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John Carey shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Carey farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Neal Texada, Sr. and Mary Southerland Texada; and his brothers, Frank Neal Texada, Jr. and Thomas Richard Texada, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jane Bacot Texada; his siblings, Lula Loraine Smith and Dr. Donald Edward Texada; and his friend Melvin Hawthorne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (5011 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71303). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
