She was predeceased by: her parents, Cliven Vegas and Bernice Vegas. She is survived by: her siblings, Paul Vegas (late Betty) and Elizabeth Vegas; her sons, Keith and Travis Penn; her sister Marie Vegas Mischler (Karl); her niece Katie; her nephew Kevin Mischler; and her friend Elizabeth Ohmer Pellegrin.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the SGI Community Center (1331 Prytania St, New Orleans, LA 70130). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St John's Cemetery (4841 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119).
