He was predeceased by: his son James Michael Botsay; his parents, Louis Alexander Botsay and Alvera Harris Botsay; and his siblings, Donald Harris Botsay (Mary Elwell Botsay), Ronald Botsay, Suzanne Botsay Yates and Sheryl Botsay.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Giroir Botsay; his daughters, Joan Botsay Fite and Dawn Botsay Madere; his grandchildren, Barbara Odom, Paula Fite Capitano, Paul Joseph Fite Jr., Brandi Brunett Ferguson and Seth Michael Brunett; his great grandchildren, Isabell Paris Hilbrand, Kylie Krine, Lana Lucille Scott, Simone Lee Hilbrand, Aden Capitano, Skyler Capitano, Bella Capitano, Nickoli J Odom, Tyler Matthew Ferguson and Conner James Ferguson; his great great grandchildren, Jonah Krine and Minia Krine; and his siblings, Felix Botsay (Roberta Rairigh Botsay), Inez Botsay (Beth), Elvera Botsay (Terrie) and Lewis Serpas (Butch). He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews & cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
