She was predeceased by: her parents, Elias Shelvin and Alzina Shelvin Sr.; her daughter Hilda Margaret Miller; her cousin Emily Martin Figaro "Moonie"; and her siblings, Lily Mae Martin, Annie Mae Martin, Lena Mae Williams, Mable Paul, Elias Shelvin Jr., Clarence Shelvin, Joseph Shelvin, Bernard Shelvin, Clifton Shelvin and Elton Shelvin.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Earl White (Ranata) of Katy, TX, Dwayne White (Schelita) of Harvey, LA and Tanisha Ware (Lamont) of New Orleans, LA; her great grandchildren, Earl White III, Rayana LaFrance White, Roy Thomas White, Rodrick Ordogne White, Adrienne Gallo White, Kinmont Garrett and Lamont Haydel; her siblings, Annie Belle Shelvin and Frank Shelvin Sr. of Lafayette, LA; her niece Sara Martin of Lafayette, LA; and her nephew Joseph Martin of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by 12 great-great-grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
