He was predeceased by: his parents, Juliette Hagstette Heitkamp and Oscar Rudolph Ludwig Heitkamp; and his siblings, Oscar Rudolph Ludwig Heitkamp Jr., Felix Heitkamp, Ruth Reinhart, Leah Richaud and Helen Klein.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Heitkamp Phillips of Covington and Elizabeth Heitkamp McCaleb of New Orleans; and his sister Juliette Hartley of Slidell.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home (3827 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Cemetery.
