It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Marie Kirt (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dalton Green, Jr. and Leola Collier Green; her husband James Kirt; her siblings, Dalton, Jr., Eugene Douglas Green, Sr., Betty Green Simmons and Dorothy Green Riles; and her son Cornelius Henry Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Terrell Coleman Green, Alvin Smith, Augusta Smith and Derrick Green; her grandchildren, Terrell Jackson, Nijae Montgomery and Augusta Smith, Jr.; her siblings, Larry Green, Lola Green Perkins and Sharon Green Polk; and her brother-in-law Aaron Simmons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
