She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman W. Sr. Tyler and Julia Mae Tyler; her grandparents, Lorenzo, Lucinda Tyler, Joseph and Luvinia Pierre Singleton; her brother Herman Tyler Jr. (Dianne); her children, Adrian Miller and Kevin Tyler; and her grandsons, Marvin Jackson and Bertrand Dezara III.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Jr., Michael (Sharon) and Sonia Miller; her grandchildren, April Glenn, Michael, Maurice Jackson, Kendra, Ayanna Neville, Daniela Clements (Robin), Breione Encalade-Gatson (Darius) and Kaia Dezara; her great grandchildren, Michael Marshall, Michelle, Kimani, Maliyah Jackson, Jeremy Tolliver Jr., Robyn Clements, Kyleigh Gatson, Azure and Amare Mack; and her siblings, Janice Bean (Claude, III), Melvin and Linda Tyler. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church (8282 I-10 Service Rd, New Orleans, LA 70126). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
