He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Presely Thomas; his son Ronald Thomas; his parents, George Thomas, Sr. and Selina Thompson Thomas; and his siblings, LJ Thomas, TJ Thomas, John Thomas, Thomas, Rutha May Thomas, Audre Thomas, Leola Thomas Polly, Adline Thomas Polly, Dolores Thomas Narcisse and Beulah Thomas Baham.

He is survived by: his children, George Thomas, III and Gloria Thomas Pain; and his siblings, Willie Thomas and Matthew Thomas. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
