He is survived by: his wife Gail Turner; his children, Gary James Turner (Samantha) and Kala Turner McKnight; his son-in-law Ashton McKnight Sr.; his grandchildren, Ashli, Amani McKnight and Ashton McKnight, Jr.; his sisters, Bronetta Turner and Beverly Parsons; his siblings-in-law, Cassandra Turner, Danielle Peters (Michael), Anthony Peters (Delmas) and Darrel Peters (Constance); his siblings, Richmond Turner III, Richard Turner Sr. and Carol Ann Turner; his son David Swain; and his nieces, Hillery Ann Rush and Racquel Parsons. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A rosary was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church (2015 Louisiana Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115). Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
