He was predeceased by: his parents, George P. Dorsey and Marie Louise Clemmer Dorsey; his brother Philip J. Dorsey; his sister-in-law Moira C. Dorsey; and his nephew Brad Dorsey.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen P. Dorsey; his children, George P. Dorsey III, Kirk P. Dorsey and Adrianne Dorsey Parkey (Joshua); his grandchildren, Claire Dorsey, Lauren Dorsey, Billie Parkey, George P. Dorsey IV, Nolan Dorsey, Louis Dorsey, Boyd Parkey and Bradley Parkey; his brothers, Lee C. Dorsey (Gayle) and Marc G. Dorsey; and his sister-in-law Mary D. Dorsey.
