She was predeceased by: her parents, Genevieve Willis and Edgar Willis Jr.; her son Michael Joseph Shields Sr.; and her siblings, Edgar Willis (Gerry) and Thomas Willis Sr. (Gerry).
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Shields Jr., Sharon Hartley, Jerome Joseph Shields and Susan Shields Graves; her children-in-law, Linda Shields, Susan Shields, Valerie Shields and Thomas Hartley; and her siblings, Ronald Willis Sr. (late Rose) and Rosary Earles (Dan). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy, Kenner, LA 70065). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
