He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Perryman Fontenot and Arthur "Boo" Fontenot; and his siblings, Denise Fontenot, Ethaniel "Black" Fontenot and Anthony "Boo" Fontenot.
He is survived by: his children, Travis Joseph Fontenot and Gabrielle Jean Fontenot-Wright (Terry); his brother Arthur "Red" Fontenot, Jr.; his former wife Cheryl W. Fontenot; his cousin Wilbert Perryman; his aunts, Cheryl and Slyvia; and his uncle Clarence Fontenot. He is also survived by three nephews, one niece, one great niece.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Majestic Mortuary (1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Burial will be private. Due to COVID-19, everyone attending is encouraged to wear masks and adhere to social distancing.
