She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dewey and Jane Foley Cain; and her sister Mary Frances "Mae" Cain Leftwich. She is survived by: her husband Harold E. Brouphy, Jr.; her sons, Barry (Gerilyn), Dennis (Bernadette) and Kevin (Greta); her grandchildren, Shannon Dufrene (Jason), Michael (Roxanne), Christie Hoover (Aaron), Emma and Kelsey; and her nieces and nephews, Kerry Coleman (William), Brian (Virginia), Owen (Laurie) and Erin LeBlanc (Bryce). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation in Jane's name to St. Mary's Dominican High School (7701 Walmsley Ave., New Orleans, LA 70125).
