He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Morrison Edwards and Joseph Edwards, Sr.; his siblings, Joseph Edwards Jr. and Christel Edwards Liggins; his son Derrick Jones; and his grandson Jeryan Terry Edwards.
He is survived by: his siblings, Cedric Edwards and Joyce Edwards; his aunt Joy Mae Battle; his former wife Glenda Edwards; and also, Melissa Edwards (Mook), Regina Edwards, Glenda Edwards Pearson Dixon, Linda Edwards, Earnest Offray, Courtney and Corey Hardy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Boyd Family Funeral Home (5001 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
