With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Devall Pentes (New Orleans, Louisiana), born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Padin Pentes, Sr.; her parents, A. D. Devall and Edith Lewis Devall; her daughter Carol Pentes Lane; her brothers, Preston Devall and John Devall; and her siblings-in-law, Randall Pruett and Lynn Devall.
She is survived by: her sisters, Bettie D. Pruett and Helen L. Devall; her sister-in-law Leuvern Devall; her children, Cynthia P. Massey (Craig), Bernard Padin Pentes, Jr. (Mona) and Cheryl P. Eppehirner (Ralph); her son-in-law Greg Lane; her grandchildren, Jason C. Mezzic (Ashley), Jessica D. Massey, Brooke P. Becker (Kevin), Jonathan M. Massey (Mugzy), Katherine P. Pevey (Brad), Jacob R. Eppehirner (Amanda), Jenna C. Lane, Jarred D. Eppehimer and Kendall R. Lane; her great grandchildren, Connor Becker, Miles Becker, Evie Mezzic, Bennett Pevey, Paxton Mezzic, Olivia Eppehirner, Charlie Pevey and Eppehimer; her stepgrandchildren, Brian Lane and Katie Bourg; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashtyn Lecompte, Anna Bourg and Emma Bourg; and her great grandchildren, Lane Lecompte and William Lecompte.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (5800 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Lake Lawn Park (5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
