Dorothy B. Ricard Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy B. Ricard of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Ricard; her parents, Julia Bush (Bell) and Sam Bush; her siblings, Alice Mae Henderson, Margaret Bush, Armie Jewel, Turner Bush, Sr., William Bush, Sr. and James Bush; and her grandparents, James and Carrie Green.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Maurice Bush (Claudia), Joseph Allen Bush (Silvia) and Sonya Bush Sylve (Patrick); her siblings, Elijah Bush, Sr. (Gwendolyn), Oliver Bush, Sam Bush and Doris Jean Bush; her grandchildren, Prasaad, Ttenochtchi, Qiswann, Mauri'co, Joseph, Alishea, Mercy, Sona, Siphne, Phillip, Safria, Seletra and Patajn; and her great grandchildren, Seth, Sainte and Psalm. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and many self-adopted children.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Church of Christ (431 Franklin St, Gretna, LA 70053). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
