He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Stevens Simmons and Jack Simmons; his sister Gloria Simmons Bauer; and his son Jason Michael Savarese. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Bonomo Simmons; his children, Donald "Jay" Simmons (Jeannie), Christine Savarese Hulin (Avery), Shannon Simmons O'Bryant (John), John Savarese (Racquel), Troy Savarese (Amy) and Jamie Savarese; and his sister Jeannette Schiro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
