She is survived by: her children, Charlisa Carter, Arica Nero, Kewenda Mckinnis, Kentrell Jones (Eric) and Otis Nero (Schwanda); her grandchildren, Damion Carter (Katie), Lester Nero, Isaiah Jones, Leo Willams, Shavanna Collins (Alex), Paris Jones and Alana Mckinnis; her great grandchildren, Damion Carter II, Damiya Carter, Davien Carter, Alexander Collins II and Nala Creppel-Jones; her siblings, Carrie Lee Jones, Ollie Ruth Nero, Doris Vaughn, Freddie Nero, Essie Mae Thompson, Percy Nero, Robert Nero and Marshal Nero; her grandson De'andre Jones; and her son-in-law Anthony Carter.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
