It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Curtis Smith Sr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, born in Kokomo, Mississippi, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Smith and Mamie Williams; his wife May B. Smith; his siblings, JoAnn Morris, Essley Williams and Otto Smith; and his grandson Curtis Dickson.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis Smith Jr. (Diane), Carl Smith, Cherylyn Smith, Charlotte Theophile (Leonard) and Clayton Smith Sr. (Valerie); and his sister Mary Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Boyd Family Funeral Home (5001 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
