We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2024, at the age of 77, Cora Stemley Wharton of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Corry Stemley of New Orleans, Louisiana.; her siblings, Corry Jr., Raymond, Edward, Brandon Stemley, Albert Lindolph, Shirley Stemley Picou and Gail Stemley; and her father Daniel Green.

She is survived by: her husband Wayne Wharton Sr.; her daughter Michele C. Williams; her stepchildren, Wayne Jr. (Sylvia), Brendel Joseph (Wade), Kirk (Alyson) and Troy (Tamara); her grandchildren, Troy, Jenna Deemer, Brandon Wharton, Bailey Wharton, Dillon Wharton, Makenna Wharton, Jordis Wharton, Taryn Wharton and Taylee Wharton; and her sisters-in-law, Delores Lindolph, Terryle Wharton, Deborah Wharton Montgomery and Francesca Wharton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
