It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Degan Chrestia (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on September 4, 2019, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Wallis Degan and Pauline Thomann Degan; and her siblings, Emelia Degan Fourmigue (Louis), Sidney Wallis Degan, Jr. (Marion) and John Thomann Degan (Joyce).
She is survived by: her sons, John August Chrestia (Rickie Taylor) and Sidney Albert Chrestia (Sharon); her grandchildren, Ariane Chrestia Brennan, Jeffrey John Chrestia, Adam Albert Chrestia and Clayton Charles Chrestia; her great grandchildren, Riley Mains Brennan and Caitlin August Brennan; her daughters-in-law, Sharon Chrestia and Vicki Roussel; and her nieces and nephews, John Degan Jr., Sidney W. Degan (Nancy), Kay Landry (Joseph), Michael Degan (Donna), Joanne Degan, Dennis Degan, Douglas Degan (Audra) and Mary St. Germain (Don).
