With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Lynn Bixler of New Orleans, Louisiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her cousin Susan Bamberg; her parents, Donald Bixler and Nelle Carolyn Bixler; her husband Art Horowitz (New Yorker); and her pets, Jamie, Rory, Pearl, Mischa, Dewberry, Mouse and Andy. She was also cherished by friends, colleagues, and animals, all of whom made up her extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Tharp Funeral Home (1600 N Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70001). A graveside service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Planned Parenthood.
