She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Evelina Jackson Williams and Hardy Barnes; her mother Evelyn Barnes-Williams; her brother Eric Hatchet; her grandson Ronald Barnes, Jr.; her nephew Kenneth F. Warmington, Jr.; and her aunts, Dorothy Hayes Kilpatrick, Margaret Barnes Randolph, Delores Barnes Moore and Clora Mae Barnes Raphael.
She is survived by: her children, Nicole Barnes, Pauline Barnes-Hall (Kendrick) and Ronald Barnes (Lionyell Burthlong); her grandchildren, Kendreka, Kendriana Hall, Rondel, La'Ron, Ron'yell and Rion Barnes; her sisters, Evelina Barnes and Edna Hamilton (Earl); and her friend Rosalind S. King. She is also survived by four nieces, three nephews, seven great nieces, twelve great nephews, one great-great nephew, one great-great niece, three godchildren.
