With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Jackson of New Orleans, Louisiana, born in McCall Creek, Mississippi, who passed away on June 21, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Idelle Martin and Lewis Martin; and her brother John Alton Martin. She is survived by : her children, Susan Velichko, Thomas Jackson III and Toni Groselle; and her grandchildren, Tiffany, Samantha, Melissa, Paige, Thomas IV, Britanny, Michael and Geoffrey. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Dr NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery (1455 Ramah Trail SW, McCall Creek, MS 39647). A burial was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the same location.
