It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Asal Hana Tanus of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hanna Daoud Tanous and Malakeh Ibrahim Azar Daoud; and her siblings, Daoud Hanna Tanous, Iskandar Hanna Tanous, Azar Hanna Tanous and Mousa Hanna Tanous.
She is survived by: her daughter Marlene Suhail Haddad; her sister Aida Hanna Tanous; her nieces and nephews, Firas, Marwan, Hanna, Lina, Abeer, Rasha Daoud Tanous, Hana, Issa, Khader, Hannah, Malakeh, Insaf, Intisar, Muna, Nael Iskandar Tanous, Salwa, Sana, Wafa, Rema, Reyed, Rami Salamah Haddad, Yousef, Nader, Loay, Elias, Fadia, Feda, Fadwa, Jad Azar Tanous, Ghandi, Ziad, Basel, Michael and Ayed Mousa Tanous; her friends, Najat Ghanem, Amal Abbas, Hilwa Aladwan, Yousef W and Ruth Salem Aladwan; and also, Jebreil, Jobert, Sawsan Aladwan, Jamal Aladwan and Samer Aladwan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church (5333 St Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Westlawn Memorial Park (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
