With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Porter Wright of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Wright Jr.; her parents, Johnny Porter and Oliver Porter; her stepfather George Stevenson; her brothers, George Porter Sr. and Johnny Porter Jr.; her nephew Ralph Porter; and her niece Lavern Porter.
She is survived by: her sons, Errol (Karen), Kevin (Vanessa), Terrol (Sandra) and Jerome; her grandchildren, Jarvis, Terrolyn, Jarryd, Auriel Bendolph (Fred), Brandon, Angel and Auryah Bendolph; and her nieces, Patricia Porter Stanford and Gwendolyn Porter. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gentilly Baptist Church (5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
