She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Byron McKinney and Mercia Agnes Hebert McKinney; her sisters, Mercia Mary Sarver, Ethel Lee Wilkinson, Madeliene Patricia Squance, Elizabeth Alicia Glynn (Betty) and Patricia Carroll Swan; and her grandson Bradley Garland Schmitt.
She is survived by: her husband Claude Garland Scanlan; her daughter Nancy Scanlan Schmitt; her son-in-law Frederick "Rick" Schmitt; her grandsons, Frederick Lawler Schmitt III and Adam Colligan Schmitt; her great grandchildren, Conor Frederick Schmitt and Kalina Lillian Schmitt; and also Viktoriya Borisova Schmitt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
