She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy LaBostrie Black and Amos Hicks; her sister Gwendolyn Dunbar; and her nephew Jimmy Tyrone Dunbar. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tyrone Miller, Jr (Stephanie) of Houston, TX and Amy Miller of Houston, TX; and her great grandchild Ty'Riana Miller. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
