Althea L.M. Wineberry Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2025, at the age of 95, Althea L. M. Wineberry (New Orleans, Louisiana) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Althea L. M. Wineberry to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Althea farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Althea is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eldridge Winesberry. She is survived by: her children, Michael Winesberry, Iris Moore, Althea Fernandez, Miriam Reddick and Ellen Augustus; and her siblings, Ella Rita Sanchez and Lerlyn Taylor. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (3737 Bayou Rd, St Bernard, LA 70085). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Face mask and social distancing strongly encouraged.
