It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Abigail Burrell Lloyd of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Julia Burrell; her husband Eric Lloyd; her mother Pearl Lee Jones (Eric Lloyd); and her siblings, Terrance, Tyrone, Larry, Carolyn and Diane Petrie.
She is survived by: her son Ricky Coleman; her daughter-in-law Shanell J Coleman; her grandson Ricky Joseph (Ranesha); her great grandchildren, Sabah, Alani and Ariyah; her siblings, Renee Brown (Raymond), Kenneth Ray Burrell, Gary Jones Sr. (Sherry), Norvin Jones Sr. (Alice) and Willie Faye Lewis; her godchildren, Gary, Toya, Tamara, Terrance, Merlin and Antoine; her caregiver Laverne Blunt; and her friend Audrey Honeycutt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gentilly Baptist Church (5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
