He is survived by: his wife Carol Faye Gibson; his children, Heidi Gibson LeBleu (Andre), Dixie Gibson Meynier (Fred Stow) and Vic Gibson, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ethan LeBleu, Maura LeBleu, Morgan Meynier, Sophie Gibson, Vic Gibson, III and William Gibson; and his siblings, John Gibson, Valerie Gibson Leggett and Debra Gibson Terry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Centerville Presbyterian Church (9089 E Main St, Franklin, LA 70538). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Centerville Presbyterian Cemetery.
