He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Green, Sr. and Frances "Sweet" Thomas Green; his sons, Sterling "Stud" Green, Jr., Sherwin Lee "Chubby" Green and David Shawn Green; his former wife Mary Alice Bourda Green; and his siblings, Albert Green, Alphonse Green, Bernard Green, Jr., Beatrice Green Delahoussaye, Frances Green and Louise Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, Janelle Derouen (Billy), Sandra Simon (John), Connie Williams (Phillip), Rosalind Sims (Samuel), Wanda Celestin (Joel), Carissa Smith (Leighton) and Sherman Green (Mercy); and his siblings-in-law, Hazel Bailey, Gloria Bourda and Joseph Bourda (Margaret). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
