It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sanford Sanders Sims of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Sanford Sim, II; his parents, Homer Sims, Sr. and Dorothy Brown Sims; his sister Elsie Sims Pradia; his granddaughter Tonya Robinson; and his brother-in-law Osbin Frelot.
He is survived by: his wife Anastatia Sims of New Iberia, LA; his stepchildren, David Frederick, Michael Frederick (Leasher), Kenneth Frederick, Christopher Frederick (Roberta) of Renton, WA, Tina Bryan (Gene) and Anastatia Martin (John) of New Iberia, LA; and his siblings, Homer Sims, Jr. of New Iberia, LA and Lillie Mae Frelot of New Iberia, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
