He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Simms and Helen Neuis Simms; his siblings, Zenobia Zepherin, Sister Helen Simms, Sister Maria Petra Simms, Charles Simms, Jr. and James Simms; his sister-in-law Ida Bell Simms; his nephew Michael Simms; and his niece Helen S. Bland.
He is survived by: his caregivers, Theresa Zepherin, Monica Rochon (Frederick) of Lafayette, LA, Elizabeth Crawford (Morrris), Cynthia Porter (Ken) of New Orleans, LA, Donna Hendricks (Charles), Annette Archangel of Houston, TX, Cathy Simms, Charles Simms, Martin Simms (Linda) of St. Louis, MO and Stephen Simms (Marcia) of Portland, OR; and his sister-in-law Iona Simms of New Orleans, LA. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends.
