He is survived by: his wife Una Derouen Bernard of New Iberia; his children, Susan B. Dore (Mark) of New Iberia, Alan "Pat" Bernard (Angela) of New Orleans, Raymond J. Bernard, Jr. (Susan) of New Iberia and Rudy James Bernard (Crystal) of Warsaw, Missouri; and his stepchildren, Kay Marie Leleux Lancon (Dale) of Lafayette, Virginia "Jenny" Leleux McGee of New Iberia and Kenneth Michael Leleux (Wendy) of New Iberia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; eleven step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great-grandchildren.
