He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Romero and Lillian Romero; his wife Melva Broussard Romero; his son Ryan Paul Romero; and his sister Lou Robicheaux.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Lord (Tommy) and Stevie Romero Ryan (Margo); his sisters, Linda Romero and Wanda Durocher; his grandchildren, Alex Romero, Nicholas Romero (Meghan), Amanda Lord Clause (Brad), Jamie Lord Segura (Michael), Payten Romero and Cooper Romero; his great grandchildren, Madilyn Clause, Ava-Claire Clause, Luke Segura, Graham Segura and Paesley Romero; and his caregivers, Alyson, Laura and Kent Zeringue (Food).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church (221 Daly Ave, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405). A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Holy Family Cemetery (2807 N Curtis Ln, New Iberia, LA 70560).
