He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Evans, Sr. and Elva Mae Alexander Evans; and his sisters, Rev. Beulah Evans, Carol Evans and Alberta Alexander Skipper of New Iberia, LA.
He is survived by: his daughter Jamonica Grant Charles of New Iberia, LA; his siblings, Michael Evans, Sr. (Amanda) of New Iberia, LA, James Evans, Sr. (Loretta) of New Iberia, LA, Alfred Evans (Carol) of New Iberia, LA, Pansy A. Woods of New Iberia, LA, Catherine Lopez (Robert) of New Iberia, LA, Carolyn Foxworth (Brian) of New Iberia, LA and Mary Grayson of New Iberia, LA; and his close friend Mary Gilliam of New Iberia, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Solid Rock Baptist Church (403 Field St, New Iberia, LA 70560). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
