She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Sr. Bodin and Irma Gary Bodin; her husband Joseph Gary, Sr.; her grandson Matthew Gary; her children-in-law, Jenny Gary and Kimball Duplantis; and her brother-in-law Tony Young.
She is survived by: her children, Carmelite Leach (Lowell) of Abbeville, Joseph Gary, Jr. (Ashley) of New Iberia and Mindy Meche (Randy) of Erath; her grandchildren, Amber Migues (Matthew), Andie Gary (Blayde), Lanie Gary, Zodah Leach, Zedekiah Leach, Lisa Nicole DeMeyere (Wayne), Dustin Andrews (Karly), Kaylie Thibodeaux and Karter Thibodeaux; her great grandchildren, Taylor Migues, Tyler DeMeyere, Caleb DeMeyere and Avery Andrews; and her siblings, Theresa Hurston of Lafayette, Gloria Young of Baton Rouge, Linda Tullier (Mike) of New Iberia, Tammy Scelfo (Paul) of Lafayette and Howard Bodin, Jr. of Coteau.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Family Cemetery (2807 N Curtis Ln, New Iberia, LA 70560).
