It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lula Mae D. Perez of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emile, Sr. Desormeaux and Lucy Meaux Desormeaux; her husband Godfrey Adam Perez; her great grandchild Haislee Nguyen; her siblings, Mildred Delcambre (Leo), Judy Laine (Paul), Mason Desormeaux, Sr. and David Desormeaux; and her brother-in-law Rogers Trahan.
She is survived by: her children, Marty Perez (Marlene), Craig Perez (Tina), Vince Perez (Susan) and Melissa Perez (Edward Menard, Jr.); her siblings, Marion Desormeaux (Faye), Emile Desormeaux, Jr. (Linda), Eddie Desormeaux (Noel) and Dianna Theriot (Kevin, Sr.); her half-sister Audrey Trahan; and her sisters-in-law, Ruby and Sheila Desormeaux. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 13 great-grandchildren.
