We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2025, at the age of 90, Lois Elaine Starks of New Iberia, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank E. Starks and Sybil Hale Starks; her son Tan Joseph Alfano; and her brother Jimmy L. Starks. She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Guiberteau (Gerald J. Guiberteau, Sr.), Gerayne Clare Leon (Kirk Leon), Tina Lynn "Teedee" Alfano and Lana Kay Alfano; her sister Sybil Paughnee Bornert; her grandchildren, Chuck Norman Alfano (Hailey), Nicholas Alfano, Valery A. Boudreaux (Breyn), Jude Guiberteau (Erica), Natalie G. Kidder, Haley G. Delahoussaye (Hunter), Andrew Paul Broussard, Kaleb Paul Leon (Lexie), Abby B. Miller (Cory), Camille Elizabeth Gondron, Julia Kay Smelley and Dylan Michael Smelley; and her great grandchildren, Trey, Lanie, Trevor, Titus, Thadeus Alfano, Max Boudreaux, Lukas Leon, Gianna Kay Holleman, John-Luke Kidder, Lilah Grace Kidder, Eli Joseph Delahoussaye and Emelia Lane Delahoussaye. She is also survived by nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery (932 E Main St, New Iberia, LA 70560).
