He was predeceased by: his parents, Juliam Champagne and Amadia Delahoussaye Champagne; his son Eric J. Champagne; his grandsons, Skye Sonnier and Chase Sonnier; and his sisters, Anna Belle Martin, Maydelle Champagne, Delta Chataignier and Monita Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Miguez Champagne; his children, Chad M. Champagne, Dina Champagne, Jana Champagne, Lani C. Martin (Ty) and Lynl Champagne (Ross Girouard); his sisters, Judy Gassiot and Cheryl Mair (Billy); and his grandchildren, Sara Scott (Seth), Erica Broussard (Taylor), Seth Champagne, Brance Sonnier (Shaunna), Nicole Seichepine, Chet Martin (Brittany Landry), Sage Martin, Falyn Martin and Cole Girouard. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
