He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Mae Joseph Broussard and Leonard Broussard, Jr.; his wife Brenda Faye Brown Broussard; his grandparents, Leonard Broussard, Sr. and Victoria Day Broussard; his siblings, Edwin Broussard, Donald Broussard, Sr. and Carol Jean Broussard Vital; and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Cormier, Sr., Dominique Broussard, Clementine Ratliff, Marjorie Jefferson, Marcelle Smith, Amanda Smith and Nadine Foster.
He is survived by: his close friend Elizabeth Rochon Thomas of Oliver, LA; his children, David Broussard (Maya) of Hollywood, FL, Corretta Broussard of Rochester, NY and DeAndre'Broussard of Rochester, NY; his grandchildren, Dantasia, David Jr., Tywan, Tytianna, Julius, Davasia and Davon; his siblings, Gerald Broussard of Aurora, CO, Oscar Broussard of Baytown, TX, Berry "Tracey" Broussard (Carol) of Chicago, IL, Sandra Marie Cormier of New Iberia, LA and Stacey Jackson (Danny) of Chicago, IL; his sister-in-law Marion Broussard; and his godson Craig Harris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Teche United Church of Christ (106 Church St, New Iberia, LA 70563). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
