He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann O'Neil Dawson; his daughter Johnette Dawson Williams (Travis); his siblings, Elijah Dawson Jr., Carrie Lee Joseph, Mildred Hampton, Dorothy Varner and Margie Dawson; and his grandchildren, Kendric Dawson, Jasmine B. Gonsoulin (Brandon) and Desire'Williams. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
