It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Thomas Jr. of New Iberia, Louisiana, born in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Roland Thomas Sr. and Claudine Brown Thomas; his brother Raylan Brown; his grandparents, Julia Mae, Isaac Terry Brown Sr., Isiah Stave and Nelwyn Thomas; his grandson Zion Thomas; and his godfather Leroy "Gatorman" Babino Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Daphne Thomas; his children, Zhamal Thomas of Houston, TX, Zedric Thomas (Angel) of Houston, TX and Amber Boutte (Jamal) of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Zedric Thomas Jr., Zayden Thomas, Emma Boutte, Jori Boutte, Zhamiah Thomas, Zarielle "Zaza" Thomas and Elijah Boutte; his sisters, Renetta Washington (Carl) of Gulfport, MS, Raeschell Rudolph (Edward) of Franklin and Alessia Thomas-Johnson (Johnathan) of Cypress, TX; his mother-in-law Patricia Weber of Franklin; his siblings-in-law, Rodney Chatman (Irene) of Franklin and Bernadette Davis Wells (Brian) of New Orleans; and his godmother Jessie Rose Miller. He is also survived by family members and friends.
