He is survived by: his wife Sharon Friar of New Iberia; his daughters, Angela Cox (John) of Longview and Amanda McGowen of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Trey McGowen, Austin Cox, Grant Cox, Thomas Cox, Aidan McGowen and Luke McGowen; his great grandchildren, Casey Cox and Carsyn Cox; and his brothers, David Friar (Charlotte) and Steve Friar (Liz) of Alabama. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
