It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janace Hebert Derise of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald A. Hebert and Georgette Hebert; her sisters, Muriel H. Landry and Elda Vera Hebert Myers; and her granddaughter Stephanie Twitty Worley.
She is survived by: her significant other Donald; her children, Donald M. Derise of Lydia, Kevin J. Derise of Scott, Brian T. Derise (Crystal) of Lydia, Clint A. Derise (Terri) of New Iberia, Blake A. Derise of Lydia, Kory Derise (Joann) of Broussard and Tiffany A. Derise (Stanley) of New Iberia; and her brothers, Kirby P. Hebert (Gracie) of New Iberia and Daniel A. Hebert (Maureen) of New Iberia. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia (1101 Trotter St, New Iberia, LA 70563). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church (7809 Weeks Island Road, Lydia, LA 70569). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holy Family Cemetery (2807 N Curtis Ln, New Iberia, LA 70560).
