With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jackie D. Bennett of New Iberia, Louisiana, born in Erath, Louisiana, who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Joseph Derouen and Mae Suire Derouen; her sister Toni Bourque; and her former husband Joseph "Joe" Bennett, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Jude Anthony Romero and Joseph "Joey" Lucas Bennett; her close friend Calvin Johnson; and her siblings, Ronnie Poirrier (Adam), Chuck Derouen (Kathy), Ricky Derouen and Glen Derouen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
