Evelyn M. Girard Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn M. Girard of New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Moreaux and Rosemary Bourque Moreaux; her husband Minos Girard; her daughter Sheila Romero; her grandchildren, Matthew Romero and Jenna Girard; and her siblings, Adam Moreaux, Rene Moreaux, Ernest Moreaux, Robert Moreaux, Hilda Mae Viator, Marie Broussard, Rosa Primeaux, Rita Thibodeaux and Hilda Derouen.
She is survived by: her children, Clayton Girard (Jackie), Michael Girard (Melinda), Tammy Vincent, Michelle Speer (Paul) and Lisa Pisani (Chuck). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Cemetery (2807 N Curtis Ln, New Iberia, LA 70560).
