Elizabeth Aucoin Castille Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Aucoin Castille (New Iberia, Louisiana), who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Cornelius and Rita Buteau Aucoin; her husband Harris Anthony Castille; her son-in-law Britt Laper; her niece Shawn Aucoin; and her nephew Neil Aucoin.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Anthony Castille (Roxanne), Karl Castille, Sr. (Melinda) and Wanda Castille Laper; her grandchildren, Brooke Touchet, Kayla Arceneaux, Ashley Switzer, Amber Breaux of Karl, Castille, Jr., Britany Foret and Kelsey Castille; and her brother Cornelius "Cannon" Aucoin, Jr. (Julianne). She is also survived by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evangeline Funeral Home (314 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (108 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560).
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
