With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Solomon of New Iberia, Louisiana, born in Saint Martinville, Louisiana, who passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis James Solomon and Leona Ledet Solomon; and her siblings, Frank Solomon, Edward Solomon, Ella Webster, Lou Ella Huff, Mary Ann Solomon and Annabell Barker.
She is survived by: her siblings, Rinas Solomon (Dorothy) of St. Martinville, LA, Curley Solomon of Houston, TX, Lucy Mae Bonhomme (Granville), Helen Carrier of Port Arthur, TX and Judy A. Webster; her great-nephew Julien Webster; her great-niece Bradynn Webster; and her cousin Joyce Linzer of St. Martinville, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church - New Iberia (414 South Weeks Street, New Iberia, LA 70560). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
